A housing-estate kid's hotpot dream, brick by brick of old Hong Kong
Owner-chef Kin grew up in Hong Kong's public housing estates and fell in love with the city's old aesthetics. Before hotpot he ran cart-noodle stalls and dai pai dong stir-fries — so the broths here are a lifetime of craft, not a name on a menu. Inside: neon signs, old estate billboards, bamboo opera-shed flower plaques, Cantopop from the '70s and '80s — and the story of the real Goose Neck Bridge printed on the back of the menu.
